Previously…
Did the guys survive from smoking at the petrol station?
Did we make it to Tanamera?
*******************************************************************
Obviously, if there’s a part 2, the answers to those two questions are YES and YES. After a 30 minute ride in Kutu’s car, we arrived, full with anticipation and eagerness to shoot at least one person. Kelvin said “As long as I shoot one person, my life is complete. And this whole thing would be worth my money.”
Then, other people started unpacking.. one of them took this out.

and this….

The one thing that went through our noob minds were “wwwwwoooooooooaaaahhhh….. DIE” Okay, now we’re psychologically defeated.
Those two guns there, can shoot up to 85 feet. The measly markers that we rented can only shoot up to 30 feet.
Off we go to register ourselves. We had to rent markers and masks so that we could play. Tanamera has a starter pack that costs RM35 which consists of one marker and one mask. For 500 bullets, a marker and a mask, it’s RM85. For 1000 bullets, mask and marker, it’s RM125. It’s all really cheap considering the hours we play, and I didn’t even use 500 bullets.
I don’t know why the guys suddenly have itchy noses.

Gear-up time.

Kutu with his mask. Terrorist in the making. haha! Adrian said he looked like one of the techy geek terrorist whose job is to bring a calculator into the field and calculate enemies positions. hahah!

That’s Adrian next to me. He’s the one who lend me the blue tiger (the blue pants I was wearing). I forgot the face mask covers my FACE, I was posing and smiling in there!

ACTION!
There are 3 scenarios, one at the trucks, another one at Lake Placid, and the last one at the Killhouse.
At the Trucks, one team starts at the top of the hill, the other starts at the bottom. The 1st team to touch the other team’s truck wins. Then, we switch sides and play again~

The walk to victory….

This is how the pros do it. See the guy on the far left, his hopper (the container that feeds paintballs to the marker) is even covered in camo. The guy on the far right has a damn good marker. His hopper is electronic. I don’t know what it does but it just looks soooooo cool!!

That’s the truck we’re supposed to guard. The area is huge! And everyone is hidden at every nook and cranny.

Spot the camo guys. There are 3 of them here.

Now, we have Lake Placid. How it got it’s name? There was once a crocodile there.. then it went missing. Now, we don’t know where it is, and tada~ Lake Placid got it’s name. It’s a 3-tiered valley with 3 lakes in the middle. A small shack is situated in the middle. The scenario is this. One team is to start from one end. This team has a bag of satellites (just a bag as big as a limp golf bag filled with orange sticks abt one meter long) and they have to plant these satellites at the shack in the middle of the map. The other team’s job is to prevent this. Again, after someone wins, we switch sides.

The briefing.

The walk to the starting point. See the middle there, the blue parka, THaT’s ME! I had kutu, chucky (real name’s raymond), pipsight (kelvin) and calvin with me. and check out the marker of this guy at the front. SWEET~~

Yes, crawling on all fours, proning, hiding, face in the mud.. We did all these. Add bushes with thorns for leaves and centipedes and millipedes and whatever insects and creepy crawlies you can think of, AND a muddy terrain, you get ecstatic paintballers and a great time!

The paintballers at work.

BREAK TIME!

This is the time where everyone comes back for lunch and a well needed drink. And this is where it’s the loudest because everyone retells their experiences and what happened on the field. And they start cursing and laughing and say hi to everyone who shot them, or whoever they shot.
*******************************************************************************************
Break’s over. We head on to the Killhouse. 5 players go into the House and protect a siren on a chair situated outside the house. The objective of this game is for all the others to try and sound the siren without getting shot, and for the 5 players to prevent this. Time limit is 15 minutes. I don’t have any pictures for this scenario because the photographer went back to the rest place. I think she went home. or something.. anyway. no pictures for this scenario.
THe pictures down here are the ones from Lake Placid.

Covered in cuts and bruises, knowing that tomorrow, we’ll wake up to sore bodies, (I HAVE LAB AT 8AM IN THE MORNING, and I only arrived back in campus at 3 in the morning) was all worth the fun and experience.
I’M NOW A PAINTBALL MANIAC!
