I has happie. Happie has me. I’m so darn happy right now, I think I’m oozing sweetness. Rainbows and unicorns are everywhere! And I’m in chocolate and cherry land!
No, I’m not high.

No, I’m not high.
So we were walking back from dinner that day, when she pointed out to me that the leaves are “sleeping”. And sure enough, I saw the leaves were ‘closed’. Well, not closed la, just that 2 leaves would be like a sandwich and “close” la. Just go look at a tree in the evening and you’ll know what I mean.
Anyway, I realised that all the trees were like that and I’ve never noticed those leaves being “closed up” like that before, so I checked out every tree. Yes I was fascinated. Yes, I may have looked a bit wide-eyed. And yes, I may have been a bit quiet, or too quiet, cos then Vern would wonder why I’m so quiet. Then she started laughing and told me “The trees are sleeping..”
I was like. OMG, seriously? They really do “sleep”? LIGHT BULB MOMENT! AH hah! So trees are not that different after all! Then my mind began wandering off, thinking that this is soooo an awesome moment, wondering if the people at Disney knew more than we do by coming out with cartoon trees that sing and dance, connecting the ‘The Sound Machine’ to this experience here, right now, and wondering if I could make a Sound Machine for my project, and proving that trees and humans are not that different, and all that smart stuff when Vern snickered and asked “You believe ah?”
Wait. Huh? Means……
YER! No one cheat innocent lil me wan la! I started ‘merajuk’-ing and Vern laughed like crazy. Like, Really Merajuk. My dreams.. all crushed. And maybe I started ’YERRRR”ing a little bit too loud too.. I mean, people were actually stopping and looking at us wei. But curiosity got the best of me, and we experimented to see whether we can ‘wake’ the trees if I kacau-ed the leaves. We jumped, but Vern was just 2cm away from touching the lowest leaf, so yeah, we failed. But then, we got a little smarter and used her empty bottle to flick the leaves. We wanted to see if the tree would just suddenly Open up, and spread each leaf. I can just imagine the tree suddenly spreading every leaf and there’s this choir singing in the background, like an angel just appeared. And also with that ring of light behind that tree, like a magical tree, and you can see pigeons flying from the tree~
AND THEN!!!!!!!
nothing happened.
Dammit. So much for imagination.
So this is how Vern entertains herself. By bluffing me. Read her version and tell me what you think. I don’t talk like that right?!
